Notice that the liver has a very uniform appearance. Although liver cells perform a variety of functions, as you may see in the high magnification image, they are all cuboidal epithelium. In the low magnification view, you will see that the tissue of the liver is arranged into lobules, each with a vein at the center. How is this related to the functions of the liver?
